Increased Scrutiny on Polyak and Gutwill Following NJAOA Submission on Smart Fortwo Cabrio Incident
FAIR LAWN, N.J. — A silver Smart Fortwo Cabrio equipped with a black soft top is at the heart of fresh controversy linking Samuel Polyak of Polykup and David Gutwill of Ultimate Car Care. The New Jersey Auto Owners Association reports collecting evidence that Polyak used the car, which had been left with Gutwill, without owner Andrea Feric’s consent.
Following verification with Feric of no granted permission, the NJAOA has referred the case to Fair Lawn Police and the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, seeking evaluation for potential charges.
This action underscores persistent issues with the business ties. Gutwill faces attention due to past felony convictions, and his link to fraud-convicted Lawrence Kushner prompts further questions on the vehicle’s handling by Polyak.
The NJAOA positions this within their extended efforts against Polykup and Ultimate Car Care practices. Another prominent issue involves an Acura NSX EV conversion for a senior citizen, with accusations of using recalled fire-risk batteries and damaged return violating court instructions.
To date, neither Polyak nor Gutwill has commented on the Smart Fortwo Cabrio developments. The NJAOA keeps gathering reports from owners who suspect improper use of their vehicles.
